Even though you travel internationally, you are obliged to meet with the rules and regulations of the country you are visiting, including traffic and parking regulations.
ParkTrade has been contracted by various parking companies and authorities throughout Europe to assist in ensuring that foreign drivers are treated equally to domestic. This includes the collection of unpaid parking and traffic fines issued to foreign registered vehicles.
If you have committed a traffic and/or parking violation when traveling abroad you may, as the registered keeper/hirer of the vehicle at time of violation, have received a notification by our local partner in the country of your residence. The notice shows all details of the contravention and other relevant information and as the register keeper you are ultimately responsible for the payment of the parking/traffic fine(s).
Your payment must be made before the due date shown on the notification to avoid further costs.
If you believe that the fine/notification has been issued to you in error, you have the right to appeal. Please send your contestation to the sender of the notification, see the notification sent to you for contact details in your country. If you have any documents supporting your case, please enclose them with your correspondence. Please note that we cannot guarantee the return of these documents. We therefore advise you to supply us with good copies of the original documents.
